On iPhone or iPad, open Settings → How to Use SignUplink. On iPad, you can also open the guide from the sidebar. On Mac, choose User Guide in the sidebar or Help → SignUplink User Guide. On Apple TV, open Home → Help & Settings → How to Use SignUplink, or the guide link in Settings.
Create or choose a sign, review its wording and destination, then deliberately choose its display or send action. Editing a draft does not put it on a screen.
Quick answers
My sign isn’t appearing.
On iPhone/iPad, choose Display Here for this device or Send to for a remote destination, then confirm Go Live. On Mac, confirm Go Live and use Present on This Mac for local audience output. On Apple TV, confirm Display Here or Run Show Here. Make sure the output is not blanked or paused. A device assigned to a Wall must be detached before you replace its individual program. Use the Live screen to check the selected output.
A nearby display is missing or won’t connect.
Keep both apps open and the devices on a network that lets them communicate. Allow Local Network access in device Settings. On iPhone or iPad, open Displays → Receive on This Device on the receiver, then browse nearby displays on the controller. Complete pairing and explicitly accept the controller on the receiver. On Mac, use Displays → Receive on This Mac → Start Receiving. On Apple TV, open Receive. Use the entire pairing key or scan its QR from iPhone/iPad; saved trust can be used for reconnecting.
What is included in Free and Pro?
Free includes up to ten saved signs, Clean, Pixel and Glow starter looks, basic styling and scrolling, all 24 wording templates, receiving, and safety controls. On iPhone/iPad, each send can target this device or one standalone remote screen. Pro removes the saved-sign count limit within available storage and adds advanced tools. On iPhone and iPad, these include premium styling, Shows, Groups, Scenes, Walls, and rendered exports. On Apple TV, Pro adds premium local styling and Shows.
Pro is a one-time in-app purchase with no subscription. The Mac app is outside this purchase integration. Check the app for Apple’s current localized price.
I bought Pro. How do I restore it?
Use the same purchasing App Store account, then choose Restore Purchases in Settings or on the upgrade screen. The same purchasing account covers iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV. Purchase and Restore do not automatically start a sign or replay a blocked action.
Does a TestFlight purchase carry over?
No. TestFlight uses Apple’s sandbox. A test purchase does not create ownership of the App Store version. During testing, make sure you are using the current TestFlight build.
How do I protect my saved signs?
On iPhone or iPad, export an editable backup before deleting the app or replacing library content. Backup and export files may contain your messages. Store and share them carefully. Restoring content does not automatically reconnect devices or start output.
Is there an Apple Watch app?
The Watch companion is paused and is not included in current public distribution. Use iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple TV instead.
